Salon 29.

Wwwwwweeeeeellllllllllll, basically I work at Salon 29. I'm a receptionist and the best part about working there is the fact that were a "team"/ "family". I do not want to be on the receptionist side of this team for much longer because I've seen the dark side to it and its mind boggling the emotional stress I deal with.... However, working there has made me want to do hair. I see how people just come in thinking "shiiiiit I look like shiiiiit" and when they leave they have a totally different attitude. I want to be able to give people that feeling. Nothing makes a girl feel better than to look sexy as hell. I'm super excited to become a stylist. I know stylists are really creative people and because hair is ever evolving hair stylists are too. They love change. BUT how much change do they need? If your happy with where your working and your clients are happy then why leave? Just because your bored or you worked there for a certain amount of time or because the economy's bad? I mean to me if you leave because your bored... your bound to have relationship issues because it is a reflection of yourself if you cannot stay in one place, if the economy's bad well shit I feel that but its not gonna get better once you leave. Maybe i'm just being overreacting and "naive" as people tell me I am because I don't know much about Sex Love and Rock& Roll. but i'm no fool. I can't help but take it personally that 7 people just happens to leave my Moms salon in a 2 week span. She has offered the world to her stylists. She's helped build clientels which your now taking with you and away from her, she's been completely understanding when life happens and things go crazy in people's lives. She's done nothing but GIve Give and Give. and it makes me really sick to see 7 people leave. 5 people are leaving to the SAME place. If your leaving a Salon wouldn't it be because your bored with your surroundings? or you need more money? Workign with 4 people from the last salon isn't going to help this change of surroundings and it definitely isn't goin to help you get new clients because now your competeing with 4 people who left for the same reasons. My mom is an exceptional woman and I would LOVE to work for her for as long as She lets me. I am not following her steps even though she did a good job at building a life for herself but working for her as a Stylist I mean I'm not going to find someone like her anywhere else. She cares more about her stylists than money. She's allowing you all to leave and just praying that you all find what your looking for even though its not her. Heres what i'm saying, if you leave Salon 29 your never going to find ANYONE quite like the owner. If you wanna work for someone else your loss, because she's amazing and I cannot wait to work for her. Our family is losing people right now but were going to gain people soon. And our family can only get better.
